Department of Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology (IR) at GG Signature Hospital is a medical subspecialty which uses minimally invasive techniques under image guidance to diagnose and treat various conditions. Interventional Radiologists use imaging modalities like ultrasound, CT scan, fluoroscopy and X-ray to visualise deep-seated organs and perform minimally invasive procedures.
Our interventional radiologists perform a wide range of procedures — from FNAC and biopsies of deeper tissues to treatment of complex vascular diseases and tumours. These are accomplished by placing specialised needles, catheters, balloons, stents and particulate materials into different parts of the body with imaging guidance.
The department is equipped with a fully advanced cathlab featuring Siemens Artis imaging, a 1.5T AI-powered helium-free MRI with 3 Tesla performance, and 128-slice CT scanner. Our fellowship-trained specialists provide the full spectrum of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology services.
